Hot Takes: Collagen Supplements & TikTok
Let’s talk about TikTok! This week on this Hot Takes segment, the ladies are talking about everything TikTok and how it varies from other social media platforms. While TikTok hasn’t been a priority platform for either Natalie or Tara, they are curious about the overall lifespan of the platform and how long it’s here before it phases out. Have any thoughts on this Hot Take? Join the conversation over at the Elevate Ag Instagram page. The other feature of this Hot Take is collagen supplements! Natalie and Tara have both been on the Modere Collagen kick for quite some time! But they wanted to share that Modere is having a sale right now that you can order and try some of their products for yourself. In this segment, Natalie shares that she LOVES their regular college liquid and Tara uses a couple of different ones to best fit her lifestyle. Check out Modere Products Here!
Monthly Obsession: House of Colour Style
In Tuesday’s episode, the ladies were chatting with Kylie Epperson for the monthly book club and it just so happens that House of Color is their new monthly obsession. House of Colour teaches you how to create a wardrobe that allows you to look your best every day. The system uses Carl Jung’s basic body archetypes where you will discover how your body architecture helps dictate what style of clothing will naturally look better on you. At House of Colour, they also take personality into account because authenticity is part of creating a wardrobe that reflects confidence, trustworthiness, authority, and beauty.
Industry News: Slowing Inflation & Arby’s New Product
This week’s industry news is all about slowing inflation here in the US and Arby’s newest marketing stunt. Tara kicks off industry news by letting the listeners know that she found an article stating that the US food inflation rate has fallen for the sixth straight month in a row in September. Although inflation is still up 5.5% compared to last year’s prices. There is a lot that goes into the economics of inflation, so we aren’t out of the woods yet, but this hopefully means that we are on the right track.
Natalie’s industry news is all about Arby’s newest marketing stunt. After creating two fry-flavored vodkas last year, Arby’s has released its very own Smoked Bourbon. In fact, it’s the same bourbon they use to smoke their pork and brisket. In fact, their marketing was so on point for this product, that it sold out in a whopping two minutes. We also want to stress, that Arby’s is a huge advocate of animal agriculture stating that it would never go plant-based and even went as far as to create a meat-based carrot. So our hats are off to you Arby’s!
Make sure to tune in to catch all the details on this conversation about inflation and Arby’s.

Consumer Question: Grassfed vs Grainfed Part 1
In this new segment of Candid Conversation, Natalie and Tara are tackling a multifaceted question today about the differences between Grass-fed vs Grain-fed. In part one they are discussing the nutritional value and differences between these two types of cattle in both beef and dairy. Tara kicks off the conversation by filling the audience in about grass-fed dairy cows vs grain-fed dairy fed. For dairy cows, when the milk is advertised as “grass-fed”, it means that those cows were fed a nearly 100 percent forage-based diet. When it comes to nutritional differences, while there are studies that claim there are major nutritional differences, Tara breaks down the main claims in today’s episode so make sure to tune in!

From Our Table: Salmon Salad
Moving the conversation right from one source of Omega 3 to another, Natalie’s favorite recipe this week is a Salmon Salad recipe that she found online. Think of this as a substitute for chicken or tuna salad, but with salmon! If you’re interested in checking this recipe out, head over to the Discover Ag Instagram Page for the full recipe!
